Listed PC requirements

ATMOSFAR lists a Windows 64-bit PC, 8 GB RAM and an RTX 2070 or RX 6700 XT among its minimum requirements. The recommended listing increases RAM to 16 GB and specifies an RTX 4070 or RX 7800 XT.

These are the Steam requirements captured for this edition. They are not performance results from our own testing, and may change as Early Access develops.

What these numbers do not tell you

The listing does not establish a specific frame rate, resolution or graphics preset in this guide. “Minimum” should not be read as a guaranteed 60 FPS target, and “recommended” is not a benchmark.

A laptop GPU sharing the name of a desktop GPU may perform differently. Cooling, available power, drivers and other applications also affect performance. Compare the exact hardware in your machine with the current store listing rather than relying only on a product-family name.

Storage and updates

The minimum and recommended storage figures are different in the checked listing: 25 GB and 50 GB. We preserve that distinction rather than choosing one figure as the exact download size.

Free disk space is not the same as the compressed download size. Updates can need extra working space, and a changing Early Access build can grow. Check the current store and installation prompt before clearing a drive. No SSD requirement is asserted here unless the official listing adds one.

Before you buy

Check your operating system, processor, memory and graphics card in Windows system settings or your hardware utility. If you are below one of the listed requirements, treat compatibility as uncertain rather than expecting a settings adjustment to solve it.

For multiplayer, also review the game’s current connection requirements. We have not measured how hosting a four-player session affects CPU or memory use. A machine meeting the listed minimum is not automatically a proven dedicated-server host.

Handhelds and other operating systems

The requirements above are for Windows. They do not confirm native macOS or Linux support, Steam Deck verification, or performance through a compatibility layer. Our platform check separates those questions from the confirmed PC release.

We will only add recommended settings or performance comparisons after collecting reproducible results with a stated build, hardware, resolution and test conditions.
